About

We have a point to prove

Pointer Machine Works exists to demonstrate something simple: that American manufacturing can beat anyone in the world — not on price, not on volume, but on absolute quality.

01 / The Story

Engineer first, machinist always

PMW was founded in Tampa, Florida by an engineer who spent years as Director of Engineering at a firearms manufacturer — designing products, building manufacturing processes, and shipping production parts where failure isn't an option.

That background shaped how this shop runs. Every job starts with process engineering, not just a quote. Every setup is designed for repeatability, not just first-article success. And every machine on our floor was chosen to do one thing: make exceptional parts, consistently, without excuses.

We're obsessive about it. Surface finish, dimensional consistency, edge breaks, packaging — the details most shops treat as extras are our baseline.

02 / What We Believe

The standard is the standard

Principle 01

Quality is the strategy

We don't compete on being the cheapest. We compete on being the best — and building processes that make the best repeatable.

Principle 02

Automate the boring, own the hard

Robots tend machines so our people can engineer processes, solve problems, and sweat details machines can't.

Principle 03

American made means something

Every part we ship is machined in Tampa, Florida. We believe American manufacturing wins on quality — and we intend to prove it, part by part.

03 / The Shop

Small team. Serious output.

We're a lean crew of engineers and machinists running modern multi-axis equipment with robotic automation. That means low overhead, fast decisions, and direct access to the people actually making your parts — no account managers, no telephone game between you and the spindle.

When you call PMW, you talk to someone who can read your print, question your tolerance stack, and suggest the change that saves you 30% — because we've been on your side of the table.
